Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Cubans, Nicaraguans, Hondurans — there are many options available under the asylum statutes, special laws, and other temporary programs. Our staff are specialists in dealing with issues particular to Central America.
We have successfully argued for asylum for individuals fleeing persecution by gangs. We are interested in developing this area of the law and providing increased protections for refugees fleeing the gang violence in Central America.
Certain Nicaraguans, Cubans, Salvadorans and Guatemalans are eligible for immigration under NACARA (the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act).
Many Guatemalans and El Salvadorans are eligible for relief under the ABC Agreement.
