Temporary Protected Status is an option for individuals whom return to a home country which is deemed unsafe due to extraordinary and temporary conditions in that country. Examples of such conditions include civil wars or environmental disasters. Individuals granted TPS are eligible to work and are not subject to removal from the United States.
