Immigrant Law Group LLP, on behalf of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, conducted a study of the asylum decisions issued by the three largest immigration federal courts of appeals, the Second, Third, and Ninth Circuits for the United States Courts of Appeals. The legal team prepared a detailed analysis of the results for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals which demonstrated that, despite the large number of cases, the federal courts were consistent in the way they treated asylum claims.
