Q: Where can I schedule a passport appointment?
A: You need to call this number 1-877-639- 4835, Monday through Friday anytime between 6 AM and 8 PM.
Q: When I call to schedule my appointment, what can I expect?
A: The conversation will happen in Spanish. They will ask you for your full name, your date of birth, where you are residing in the US, your address and what kind of appointment you are looking to schedule.
Q: When will my appointment be scheduled for
A: It takes a few months from the time you call to the date of your appointment. In my experience I called in March and my appointment was scheduled for the end of May.
Q: How much is it?
A: For a passport valid for 6 years it costs $101.
For a passport valid for 3 years it cost $74.
Children under 3 years old can obtain a 1 year passport for $32.
Q: How can I pay this fee?
A: You can pay it with cash, debit card or credit
Q: What do I need to bring to my appointment if it is my first time getting a passport?
A: Your original birth certificate and a copy of both sides.
Driver license from US or Mexico or State ID or Voting card or Military ID and a copy of both sides.
2 passport photos: without glasses, in color, uncovered head, white background and not older than 30 days from time of appointment.
Q: Does it matter if I am married?
A: Yes, please also bring your original marriage certificate.
Q: What if I have children?
A: Bring each child’s original birth certificate and an identification that matches their name on their birth certificate and copies of both. At your appointment, you will need to fill out form OP-7.
Q: I am renewing my passport, what do I need to bring?
A: Your expired passport with copies of pages 1-4 and the last page.
2 passport photos: without glasses, in color, uncovered head, white background and not older than 30 days from time of appointment.
If your old passport expired before 2006 then please also bring your original birth certificate and a copy of it.

Q: What will happen at my appointment?
A: Please arrive early and on time. Expect to be there for at least 3 hours. Park accordingly. Bring a black pen.
You will check-in at the front desk. There, they will make sure you have everything for your appointment.
They will give you a passport application with your number.
Fill out the application and wait for your number to be called. This can take up to a couple of hours.
Once your number is called, the staff member will help you. They will have you confirm some information, sign some documents and have your index fingerprints taken.
When you are done with this you will be directed to the payment window where you will pay your fee.
After this is all done then you will wait about 20 minutes to be called to take a photo that will be used for your passport.
Lastly, it will take about an hour to have your passport ready to go.
