DACA: Jefferson High School Workshop
“This is for our community,” Raul said. He was addressing the crowd gathered to hear Stephen talk about the Deferred Action program, whose is eligible, and how to get an application filed. “We must come together and support one another as we go through the process.”
Sponsored by the Jefferson High School MEChA chapter, the Jefferson High School workshop focused on giving students and parents decision-making tools for seeking Deferred Action benefits and provided free legal screenings on DACA eligibility and long term immigration options. The workshop was a huge success with more than 50 participants getting screened and helped.
The workshop was free! And it all started with a simple phone call from Raul to ILG. Learn more about setting up a DACA workshop for your class, school, or community organization.
