Thoughts about Delgado v. Holder
We filed an amicus brief on behalf of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in a case called Delgado v. Holder.
Delgado v. Holder, the most recent en banc decision of the schizophrenic Ninth Circuit may be one of those event-horizon cases. Valiantly litigated by AILA member Niels Frenzen, Delgado is notable, of course, for its headline holdings: what it means to be convicted of a particularly serious crime. These holdings, are summarized in this blog post, will impact the adjudication of numerous claims for asylum and withholding.
